About the Artist

Christopher Tennant (born August 17, 1978) is an American magazine editor, artist, and author of The Official Filthy Rich Handbook, published by Workman Publishing in June 2008. He co-founded Radar magazine as well as Radaronline

Drones by Christopher Tennant is the inaugural exhibition at BLACKBARN Shop. Inspired by the golden age of Victorian taxidermy, Tennant’s illuminated cases have been featured in the Wall Street Journal and leading art and design boutiques around the world. Built in his Long Island studio, the interiors reveal whimsical scenes from the natural world and freeze moments in time. The centerpiece of the show, Drones, 2016, consists of three illuminated and mirror-lined 30” x 36” cherry wood cases containing 47 Horseshoe Crab carapaces collected on Cape Cod. In his off hours, Tennant is the Editor In Chief & Creative Director of MAN of the WORLD magazine and a contributing Editor to Vanity Fair and Playboy.
